ABOUT THYROGLOBULIN TESTS
The Thyroglobulin test measures the level of thyroglobulin, a protein produced by the thyroid gland. It is most commonly used in individuals who have been treated for thyroid cancer to monitor for recurrence. In some cases, it may also help evaluate other thyroid conditions, such as inflammation (thyroiditis) or to assess thyroid function when imaging results are unclear.
