ABOUT FREE T3 TESTS
The Free T3 test measures the level of free triiodothyronine—the biologically active form of the thyroid hormone T3—in your bloodstream. Free T3 plays a critical role in controlling how your body uses energy and maintains metabolism. This test is particularly useful for diagnosing hyperthyroidism and evaluating thyroid function in people with persistent symptoms despite normal TSH and Free T4 levels.
