ABOUT ARSENIC TESTS

The arsenic test measures the amount of arsenic in your body, typically due to exposure through contaminated water, certain foods (like seafood), or industrial environments. Arsenic is a toxic heavy metal, and elevated levels may lead to symptoms such as nausea, abdominal pain, neurological changes, or skin abnormalities. Testing is important for those at risk of chronic exposure or presenting with unexplained symptoms possibly linked to toxicity.

Consider this test if you’ve been exposed to industrial chemicals, contaminated water, or frequently consume seafood. Symptoms such as confusion, stomach issues, or numbness may also prompt testing.

The test measures the concentration of arsenic in your blood to determine whether exposure has occurred.

It can confirm arsenic exposure and help assess whether intervention or detoxification is needed, especially in cases of suspected poisoning or long-term environmental exposure.

Avoid eating seafood for 48–72 hours before the test, as it may temporarily raise arsenic levels.
